International Board

The new International board was convened and set out its action plan for the next four years. One of the key issues that the board discussed was the need to have a robust financial plan in order to sustain the work of NCFI.

 At the International forum a full discussion took place to review feedback from the different regions on the proposal to allocate a notional fee to each region based on GNP. This was unanimously rejected by the membership but there was a recognition that a firm commitment to support NCFI was needed if we were to establish a global network of Christian nurses and midwives who can truly influence the future of nursing, midwifery and health care so that it reflects the caring sprit of Christ.  It was agreed that the financial committee would prepare a proposal based on a 10% contribution from each NNCF.  This will be circulated for discussion.  It was also recognised that a plan to raise additional income was necessary for the long-term sustainability of the organisation.
